There are many interesting and beautiful places on the Athens campus of Ohio University. One that is very special to me is located in the stairwell leading to the first floor of Alden Library. It is a Japanese Serenity Garden with plants, subdued lighting and a small pond. The sound of the water flowing adds a special note of calm relaxation. There were four small fish living in the pool yesterday. This morning one of our fish had disappeared.
Later this morning a second fish disappeared. This is not the first time we’ve had fish disappear. Perhaps someone thinks this is a joke, but it is seriously not funny. We’ve cared about those fish for quite a while. We would really like to have them back. Please return them to our pond. Sit and listen to the water flow for a few minutes. The sounds may bring peace into your heart.
