Ohio senior forward Maurice Ndour, a starter in one of Senegal’s five games so far, has averaged 6.2 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game and 1.4 steals per game.
In their final game in group stage Thursday against the Philippines, Ndour totaled 13 points and four rebounds in a fourth-best 22 minutes. He was also 5-for-7 from inside the three-point arc.
In the round of 16, Senegal will face Brazil, who will finish as the second place team in Group A after Spain plays its final game of the group stage.
