To the Editor,
We would like to thank the voters in Athens County for their overwhelming support in the passage of Issue 4, Senior Services Renewal Levy. Because of your support, hundreds of seniors in need will continue to receive the nutritious meals that are vital to maintaining their health and independence. The large margin in votes to pass this levy shows your care and concern for those in our community that have given so much and now face difficult times. For the cost of a lunch, Athens County residents will continue to insure that our senior neighbors will receive the meals they need.
Thank you again to all who supported this levy and donated time, energy and efforts to get the word out to Athens County citizens about the importance of this issue and the Senior Nutrition Programs it supports.
Athens truly is a caring community.
