Women's basketball: Black makes First-Team All-MAC

The regular season may have ended, but the accolades continue for the Bobcats.

Junior guard Kiyanna Black made the All-MAC First Team, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Black, who led Ohio to its first regular season MAC title since 1994-95, finished the year averaging 15.9 points and four rebounds per contest.

Sophomore guard Quiera Lampkins made the MAC's Third Team. Lampkins has averaged 12.9 points and 6.7 rebounds a game.

Ohio's lone senior, guard Mariah Byard, was an Honorable Mention. She averaged 9.2 points per contest during the regular season. Byard was also a member of the program's worst team in history two years ago, when the Bobcats went 6-23.

The MAC coach and player of the year announcements will come sometime on Tuesday. Ohio coach Bob Boldon is the projected winner, after taking his team from the bottom of the MAC East to the top of the entire conference in his two years in Athens.
