OU Delivery opens on Sept. 7.
With just a few clicks on a mobile device and a credit card, students can now have anything delivered right to their doorstep.
OU Delivery, a business started in fall of 2013 by Aaron Hoffman, is launching an app, which will be free to download.
The app, which is being developed by a company, will likely be named “Campus Delivery,” he said.
“If we have the technology to do it, why not?” said Hoffman, a senior studying finance. “Customers also requested it and it’s a lot more convenient for us to have multiple platforms we can accept the orders off of.”
Students will select their school, place an order and receive a receipt. But when OU Delivery opens on September 7, only credit will be accepted as payment, Hoffman added.

“(Using credit) might suck for some people, but it’s going to make everyone’s transaction a lot easier,” Hoffman said.
The first update of the app is going to be rather simplistic, but eventually it will have more advanced features, such as tracking orders and estimating time of arrival, Hoffman said.
For some, using the app is going to be more convenient than placing an order on the website, said co-founder John Zinno, a senior pursuing a bachelor’s of specialized studies in business administration and franchising with a specialization in entrepreneurship.
“I’ve had kids in my class specifically say they haven’t ordered from us just because they don’t feel like going on the website. … Plus with everyone living on their phones nowadays, it just made sense,” Zinno added.

OU Delivery, which is branded as Campus Delivery, expanded to Kent State University and the University of Delaware this past February.
The business will branch out to the University of Toledo, the University of Miami and Arizona State University this fall. The company plans to continue developing on other campuses and the app will be available at all locations as well, Hoffman added.
OU Delivery recently filmed a commercial to show how OU Delivery works and to give students a better idea how to use the service, Hoffman said.
