Ohio University Police receives its sixth sex-related crime report of Fall Semester

A sixth sex-related crime for the semester was reported to OUPD, Saturday.

After four weeks of classes, the Ohio University Police Department received its sixth report of a sex-related crime Saturday morning. The incident was classified as a sexual imposition.

According to records from OUPD, its department received a sexual imposition complaint from a student that occurred on campus early Saturday morning. The report did not say if a male or a female filed the complaint.

No other information was given in the report.

The case is under investigation, according to the report.

This is the seventh sex-related crime reported in the Athens area since OU classes started on Aug. 24. Six have been reported to OUPD, and one was reported to the Athens Police Department.

Of the six sex-related crimes reported to OUPD this semester, two have been classified as rape.

Last Fall Semester had a total of four rapes reported, according to previous Post reports.
