Two breaking and entering incidents and robbery make Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous crimes of the month list

The Athens Police Department is looking for more information on three robberies.

Two breaking and entering incidents and a robbery made the Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous crimes of the month news release for October.

On July 22, a perpetrator forcibly entered Courtside Pizza at 85 N. Court St., according to the news release.

The individual stole money from a variety of locations within the establishment at 3:40 a.m. A security camera captured a photo of the individual, who is described as a 6-foot tall white male in his early- to mid- 20s weighing around 160 lbs., wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.

The second breaking and entering incident occurred between Aug. 1 at 11:00 a.m., and Aug 3. at 7:30 a.m., at TSI Housing, 36 S. Court St.

According to the news release, individuals forcibly broke into the business. Once inside, the individuals rummaged through offices and storage areas, and were able to get away with money and two laptops.

The final incident was a robbery that occurred Sept. 15 near Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium in the early morning. The victim said they were approached by several black males on University Terrace, according to the news release. One of the males physically assaulted the victim, causing valuables to fall to the ground.

When the victim tried to pick the items up, the male again assaulted the victim, and one of the other males stole the valuables. The men then fled the area, according to the news release.

The Athens Police Department is looking for more information pertaining to the three crimes. Any information related to the crimes can be reported to Crime Solvers Anonymous at 740-594-3331.
