Police Blotter: Police find Ohio University student smoking marijuana from apple

The Ohio University Police Department issued no citations for marijuana use or possession on April 20.

As some students started studying for finals week on Thursday, one allegedly got creative with his marijuana usage.

At about 1 a.m. the morning after April 20, an Ohio University Police Department officer observed the student smoking suspected weed through an apple behind the Ohio University Parking Services building, according to a police report.

The officer cited the student with marijuana possession, according to the police report.

The citation was one of four for possession of marijuana OUPD officers issued between April 17 and April 25. OUPD officers issued no citations for possession of marijuana or marijuana paraphernalia on April 20.

Vomit in Bromley

On Friday at about 1 a.m., an OUPD officer responded to a call about an intoxicated female on the third floor of Bromley Hall, according to a police report.

The officer found the student sitting in her own vomit on the hallway floor when he arrived, according to the police report.

The officer cited her for disorderly conduct for intoxication, and Athens County EMS transported her to OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, according to the report. The citation was one of two for disorderly conduct by intoxication OUPD officers issued between April 18 and April 24.

Vomit in O'Bleness

On Saturday at about 11:30 p.m., the OUPD office received a call about an intoxicated female in the third floor bathroom of O'Bleness House, according to a police report.

An officer arrived to find a student who "could barely speak" in the bathroom "throwing up uncontrollably," according to the police report.

EMS transported her to OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, and she was issued a citation for disorderly conduct by intoxication there, according to the police report.
