Post Haste: OU College Republicans will likely endorse Donald Trump; Bobcat football gets a shout-out

Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Tuesday, August 23, 2016:

Football season is approaching fast.

In the run-up to the Bobcats' home opener next Friday, an SB Nation blogger ranked all 128 FBS football teams, including the Bobcats.

The blogger, Bill Connelly, split the teams into seven tiers and attached a name to each. The highest-ranked teams were put in the "contenders" tier and the worst in the ":( :( :(" tier.

Connelly put the Bobcats in the sixth tier, labeling them "Mid-major up-and-comers and power-conference dead weight."

Ranked 88 overall, the Bobcats landed in the same group as conference rivals Central Michigan and Akron, as well as out-of-conference notables including Cincinnati, South Carolina and Rutgers.
