Good Morning,

First-year students: Don’t forget today is the deadline to submit your Ohio University housing deposits for next year.

The $200 deposit is due at 4 p.m. today. You can read more about it on OU’s Compass.

If you’re still deciding where to live next year, someone started a Reddit thread about the best places to live on campus. Here are some of the takes:

South Green: “...farthest from campus but at most you'll walk another 2-3 minutes. Has newest dorms, but also a good number of old ones. Has mods, which have shared living spaces. Lots of single dorms,” wrote user @santalisk. “...South seems to have the best variety of people as well. It is very close to Ping if working out is your thing.”

West Green: “It's definitely quieter, but you have a straight shot uptown, AC for the beginning and end of year, and Baker and Boyd are pretty good dining wise (though I wish West 82 had more rotating options and Boyd had less rotisserie chicken),” wrote user @whynotjoin.

East Green: “East is probably the most centralized living area in campus, and lots of the buildings are a bit newer, and some are still being renovated every day. If you dont want to walk a ton to classes, i would recommend living on east,” wrote user @lunchycrunchy.
