Good morning,
Sandwiched between Green Beer Day on Wednesday and St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, the Russ College of Engineering is hosting a lecture on a different kind of green: carbon emissions.
Specifically, the lecture will focus on the Volkswagen Carbon emissions scandal — the 2015 debacle in which the automaker was accused of defrauding Americans by cheating on emissions testing.
Mike Zimmer, a fellow in the Voinovich School, and Dave Nash, a partner with law firm McMahon Degulis, will lecture on the many lessons learned by the engineering industry following the event.
The lecture starts at 4:35 p.m. in Baker Center Theatre. The event will also be streamed online.
