Good morning,

It’s a complex subject, but one that’s hard to avoid: fake news is on the minds of many, including event organizers at Alden Library.

Tonight, the library will host a networking and discussion session for those interested in “information literacy-related projects” on the fourth floor of Alden Library from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Registration isn’t required, but there is a form for that if you’re so inclined.

The event is open to the public, and attendance is also welcome from OU staff and students, teachers, school librarians and local political figures.

The event comes three months after an Australian dictionary named “fake news” its word of the year.
