Jeff Hill is no longer a one-way street.

Jeff Hill is a two-way street and everyone's freaking out on Twitter

Freshmen this year live in a different world: Jefferson Market has brand new renovations, three residence halls are gone and you can legally drive down Jeff Hill.

East Union Street between University Terrace and Stewart Street — "Jeff Hill"  — opened to traffic from both directions Aug. 22. Traffic previously only went up the hill.

The change has drawn both positive and negative reactions from OU students and employees.

For some people, the new traffic pattern changes nothing: They're not going down that hill.

Others question how long this change will really last.

But even though the Twitter feedback on two-way Jeff Hill is mostly negative, some strange, optimistic people are excited for the change:

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the traffic patterns on Jeff Hill. Traffic used to exclusively be uphill only before Aug. 22. The article has been updated to reflect the most accurate information.
