Members of Kai's cult were revealed on American Horror Story

American Horror Story: Cult took viewers back to the presidential election and its aftermath, and finally answered some of fans’ most pressing questions.

After Tuesday’s episode, it has been proven that Kai (Evan Peters) is the one behind all the clown murderings and that Harrison (Billy Eichner), Meadow (Leslie Grossman) and a local reporter, Beverly Hope (Adina Porter), are all on his side. Surprisingly, Winter (Billie Lourd) and Ivy (Alison Pill) might be in on something too.

This episode started on election night again. Beverly was reporting from the polling station and ran into a former colleague, Serena (Emma Roberts). They both said some hateful words to each other and showed off their rivalry within the newsroom.

The cast of characters from this season were in line and waiting to vote. Fans saw Beverly, Ivy, Winter and Dr. Vincent (Cheyenne Jackson) all vote for Hillary Clinton. Harrison voted for Gary Johnson, Meadow wrote in “Oprah,” Ally voted for Jill Stein and Serena voted for Donald Trump — but viewers already knew that.

Suddenly, Kai brought in an injured Gary (Chaz Bono), who was the grocery clerk from the first episode. He happened to be a Trump supporter, and raised a bleeding stump of an arm and screamed, “Welcome to Trump’s America, motherf--kers!” Director Ryan Murphy made a polarizing statement having Chaz Bono play a Trump supporter when in real life, he is an LGBT rights advocate.

Viewers were left questioning the scene while they discovered how Kai and Harrison become friends. Kai signed up for Harrison to be his personal trainer, and saw how he got bullied daily about being gay. He also made a comment about how he looked strong enough to “move a dead body.” It sounds like someone might have had a future plan in mind.

Harrison arrived home to find Meadow upset that the bank was foreclosing their home, and that they needed to leave in three days. Back at the gym, his boss threatened to fire him if he did not sell Kai more training sessions. Harrison broke down to Kai about all of his personal problems, and Kai used that to his advantage to get him on his side. Both of them ended up murdering Harrison’s boss.

The episode then shifted to the month of December and Beverly’s side of the story. She was reporting at a landfill where a body was found — Harrison’s boss — and Serena enjoyed the life of reporting on more fluffy stories. Kai watched from home, and watched how Bob, the lead anchor, told Beverly it was “good to have her back."

Kai was intrigued, and figured out Beverly spent some time in a psychiatric hospital for beating a man who screamed “grab her by the p---y” during one of her live news broadcasts.

Between Harrison and now Beverly, Kai seemed to pick up people who were having personal problems and kept their anger tucked away. Kai angrily approached Beverly, displeased with his intentions until later when she found out he and two other masked clowns, probably Harrison and Meadow, murdered Serena in the middle of being filmed.

So now AHS fans know Harrison, Meadow and Beverly are in on this “cult” of Kai’s, but it doesn’t just stop at three members.

Flashback to before the election, Ivy tried to get Ally to go to a Clinton rally with her. Ivy ended up going alone and got into a politically-heated argument with Gary, who assaulted her to make a statement. Winter came to the rescue and the two attacked him at the grocery store, chaining him up in order to stop him from voting for Trump the next day.

Now viewers know that Ivy is a liar because when her and Ally hired Winter as their nanny, she didn’t mention she knew her from a prior event.

Later that night, Winter told Kai about her endeavours with Gary. Kai went to rescue him and viewers got to see how he chopped off his own hand to free himself from the handcuffs.

The pieces of the puzzle are starting to fit together better after this episode, but there are still some questions remaining. Could Ivy after all be involved with the cult and trying to run against her own wife?

American Horror Story: Cult airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
