Good morning,

Arby’s is known for “having the meats,” and on Oct. 21 the restaurant will be adding a gamey option to the menu.

The East State Street location will only have a limited 100 venison meat sandwiches for sale, Elizabeth Howard, a shift manager at the Athens Arby’s, said. The next closest location in Logan will also be participating in the promotion, the restaurant’s general manager Matt Barber said.

The sandwich consists of a steak of thick-cut venison topped with crispy onions and juniper berry sauce, according to a Forbes report. The special was only available in five states last year, but this year Ohio and every other state in the nation gets the opportunity to sell the sandwich.

Last year, the meaty meal was sold out in Minnesota after only 15 minutes, so you may have to wake up early next Saturday to get your hands on one.
