Fun News Friday: KFC makes pod to escape the internet; 'Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp' gets holiday makeover

The semester is nearly over, and coming off of a long weekend is hard. Here is some fun news to end your week:

New Jersey man paid for $10,000 worth of toys for local children

On Black Friday, a man in New Jersey identified as Charlie K. went to Toys R Us and paid for toys customers had on layaway. He spent more than $10,000 on toys for more than 60 orders, Huffington Post reported.

“I’m trying to bring some happiness to people, to the community that brought happiness to me and my family,” he told CBS 3. “I love this community and I am trying to provide back to it.”

Kentucky Fried Chicken is doing more ridiculous things

KFC made an “Internet Escape Pod” for the holidays. It’s honestly ridiculous, but it blocks Wi-Fi and cellular connection. It’s about $5,000. It can fit four people, and the doorknob resembles a chicken leg.

“Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp” is getting a Christmas makeover

If you’ve been on the internet lately, you’ve probably seen some good Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp content. Since it came out in the U.S. on Nov. 22, people have been making their camps the best they can be.

The game is going to be filled with holiday cheer soon.
