Fun News Friday: 100 people mourn Taco Bell; woman marries a ghost

It was really warm early in the week, but now it is not. Here is some fun news to get you through the cold and make you laugh.

100 people mourned the loss of their local Taco Bell

When a Taco Bell in Alabama was lost in a fire, the community held a candlelight vigil to mourn its loss. About 100 people showed up for the event, which started as a joke Facebook event, according to an ABC 7 report.

"Please join us in mourning as we stand together in the loss of our beloved Taco Bell," the Facebook event read.

Someone married a ghost

If you’re officially done with dating humans, you could follow Amanda Teague’s method and just marry a ghost. Teague married her husband Jack, who has been dead for nearly 300 years, “was a Haitian pirate, who told her he is black with jet black hair, and was executed for his crimes in the 1700s,” according to Metro.

“One day he said to me ‘We can actually be together you know’ but I had never heard of an intimate relationship between a spirit and a human before,” she said to Metro.

Woman gets marching band for birthday

Margaret LoCicero turned 100 years old. When someone asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said a marching band. The Boardman High School near Youngstown, Ohio, fully delivered.

Several members of the band filled the room and played for her.

“I was just so impressed,” LoCicero said to The Vindicator.
