Good morning,

Starting in July, all Ohio drivers will receive their licenses by mail rather than receiving same-day service.

Instead of waiting in the long lines of BMV’s, people will get their licenses in the mail no more than 10 days after they are issued. Drivers will still have to go into the BMV to be issued a license renewal.

Residents will get a temporary confirmation of driving privileges until their license comes in the mail. The change aims to lower costs and increase security.
