Lyft is offering a monthly subscription service; check out the history of the oldest bar in Athens

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

If you’re tired of paying every time you get a Lyft, say no more: The company is rolling out a 30-day ride subscription for free or discounted rides.

The $299 All-Access plan would give riders 30 free rides, as long as those rides cost less than $15. After those rides are used up, additional rides would be discounted 5 percent, according to the Lyft announcement.

If any of the 30 free rides go over $15, riders would just have to pay the difference.

“This is the first step toward delivering on our goal of making car ownership optional, and we’re constantly looking for more ways to provide passengers with the easiest, most convenient options possible,” the announcement reads.
