‘Mean Girls’ fans should wear pink today; School of Music to host opera scenes concert

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

On Wednesdays, we wear pink.

Well, even if you don’t normally break out your pink clothes on Wednesdays, you might want to today: it’s Wednesday, Oct. 3 – the iconic date from the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls.

Today is essentially a combination of the flick’s most well-known lines. In the movie, Oct. 3 is the day Lindsay Lohan’s character, Cady Heron, is asked what day it is by her crush, Aaron Samuels, played by Jonathan Bennett.

You really should celebrate — thanks to leap years, there won’t be another Wednesday, Oct. 3 until 2029.
