The Athens Police responded to Hope Drive on Sunday at about 8 a.m. to assist Athens EMS with an unresponsive infant.
APD and Athens EMS’ lifesaving attempts were unsuccessful.
The investigation is active and ongoing, according to a release from APD Capt. Ralph Harvey. More information will be released when appropriate and in coordination with the coroner’s office.
