Shelter pets are the official pet of Ohio; Don Felder of The Eagles is coming to OU

Today is Friday, March 29, 2019. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

Shelter pets have officially been named Ohio’s state pet in an attempt to raise awareness for shelter adoption, according to a WCPO report

Senate Bill 86, which has enacted special designations across the state, gave shelter pets their official title.

All around Ohio, shelters are full of pets that need adopted. Animals at the Athens County Humane Society and the Athens County Dog Shelter are waiting for their forever homes. You can go to Adopt A Pet to find shelters near you.
