Forever 21 files for bankruptcy; ReUse Industries celebrates 25 years in Athens

Today is Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. Here’s what you need to know:

Forever 21 may not last forever. The fashion retailer for teens and young adults, filed bankruptcy and may close up to 178 stores across the U.S., according to NPR

On Sunday night, the company released a statement claiming the bankruptcy does not mean it will be going out of business and that “filing for bankruptcy protection is a deliberate and decisive step to put us on a successful track for the future.”
