OUPD receives first rape report of Spring Semester

The Ohio University Police Department received a rape report from a student on Jan. 18.

The female student reported unwanted sexual conduct between herself and a known suspect, according to an OUPD report.

The report came from OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital.

There was no further information available.

This is the fourth rape that has been reported to OUPD this school year. The Athens Police Department has received six rape reports this school year.

OUPD has also received one sexual assault report and one sexual imposition report.

APD has received two sexual battery reports and one voyeurism report.
