Coca-Cola is releasing an energy drink; petitioners are working to raise Ohio's minimum wage

Today is Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

Coca-Cola is releasing an energy drink. The new drink, Coke Energy, will come in four varieties: Coke Energy, Coke Energy Zero Sugar, Coke Energy Cherry and Coke Energy Cherry Zero Sugar. The drink is said to taste just like regular Coke but with a caffeine boost.

A regular Coke has 34 milligrams of caffeine per 12-ounce serving. For Coke Energy, a 12-ounce can has about 114 miligrams of caffeine.

The drink has already hit the shelves, and there was an ad for the new drink last night during the Super Bowl.

"We're putting the full marketing muscle behind our Coke Energy launch in the US," CEO James Quincey said, according to CNN Business.
