Twitter Reactions: David Dobrik posts first vlog during quarantine, gives out gaming systems, money

David Dobrik is back on YouTube and making an impact during the coronavirus pandemic.

After not posting any content on YouTube in over a month, Dobrik returned with a post to briefly explain why he hasn’t been posting and catch everyone up on the work he’s been doing to help those in need during the pandemic.

He explained that he won’t be posting for a while but wanted to update everyone that he and the rest of the vlog squad are doing OK, even making jokes about hooking up with his assistant, Natalie, and that they’ve been hard at work to provide whatever financial aid they can for people during this economically challenged time.

Dobrik, along with Natalie and Jason Nash, partnered with the Electronic Arts company to give away Xboxes, PlayStations and more to random people in Los Angeles. The video shows the friends disinfecting the games, hanging them out and, of course, wearing masks and gloves.

In keeping with the theme of generosity, Dobrik also threw frisbees with $100 bills attached, and shot T-shirt cannons with his merch that had checks for $10,000 inside each shirt. Recipients were brought to tears, bringing Dobrik close to crying as well.

Needless to say, he was quite quickly trending on Twitter, with everyone making comments about what a good man he is and how admirable it is that he’s using his fame to help others.

Here’s how audiences reacted on Twitter:
