TV Review: Natascha exposes Trevor for ‘emotional cheating’ on ‘The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart’

The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart is certainly the gift that keeps on giving during quarantine. Week two resumed with some news from Chris Harrison that there will be more dates… and more people joining the show?

The series certainly has Bachelor in Paradise meets A Star Is Born vibes to it, but the best part? We don’t know the cast. The show has added fresh, talented faces to the Bachelor crew and drama has not been at the forefront — yet.

Episode two came with a lot to unpack as three newcomers join the gang and a whopping four one-on-one’s go down. Here are a few highlights from the latest episode of The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart:

Trevor is an “emotional cheater”

The first date card is addressed for Jamie stating, “Grab your guitar, grab your guy, and go make some beautiful music.” Trevor is the lucky guy chosen as the two head off to spend a day in the sun at Venice Beach.

When the acoustics begin, Jamie expresses her nerves for singing in front of others to Trevor. He comforts her until she feels confident enough to sing beside him (although he does most of the vocals.) Jamie expresses she feels a strong spark between the two and “can’t see anything going wrong.” Clearly, she must have forgotten the show has producers hard at work to make sure something, in fact, does go wrong.

We get some hot tub action as the couple nestles up to delve into their past relationships. Jamie explains how “every guy she’s ever dated has cheated on her,” while Trevor remains vague about his past two year relationship.

Jamie is elevated with how amazing the date went as she states, “I can tell now he’s a good and genuine person.” Honey, you’ve got a big storm comin’.

Natascha has the tea

Que the villain music! Nastascha is the first newcomer to the scene.

“I’m looking for my husband, I’m looking for my baby daddy… I want a grown a-- man,” she states, walking in with determination. And what does she come with? A whole lot of drama, of course!

Natascha strolls into the mansion locked and loaded with all the tea on Trevor’s past relationship with one of her close friends. She alleges, to all the members of the house, that he cheated on his previous girlfriend. Regardless of starting drama, Natascha’s intentions were slightly pure as she tries to protect Jamie from getting hurt, despite not knowing her. “I wouldn’t want someone to be hurt by something we are keeping from her,” she states to the other women in the house.

Once Trevor and Jamie return from their date, Natascha cuts to the chase quickly. She immediately confronts the situation by putting Trevor in the hot seat. After a few arguments back and forth, Trevor admits that he “emotionally cheated” on his previous girlfriend. All to which Natascha deems as much worse than physical cheating.

In the end, Trevor redeemed himself slightly by owning up to his past actions and came forward with honesty to Jamie.

Bri and Chris free-style their feelings

Bri gets the second card — instructing “bring the guy who is at the center of your heart.” Obviously, she picks Chris. The two clearly have solid chemistry but needed the one-on-one magic to make things all the more stronger. Chris and Bri begin their date at Guitar Center, where the date card message is decoded. They spend their night strolling around in awe at the vast assortment of instruments.

The highlight of the entire episode is when the couple sat down in the middle of the store, acoustic guitars in hand and free-styled their feelings for each other. The chemistry was written all over their faces, and it was refreshing to see a Bachelor couple connection blossom so quickly.

Feelings escalated quickly as they turned their song-love language into spoken-love language.

“I think I might be falling in love with you,” Bri expressed to Chris. After a few moments, he thanked her for her vulnerability and returned the statement.

Sheridan is too good for Julia

Sheridan gets the next card of the week and he picks Julia to tag along. He believes the date will be a dealbreaker for the two, as Julia is also interested in Brandon, as well. Nonetheless, the couple spend their day at a radio station being interviewed about their experience on the show and their connection. It’s clear Sheridan has fully engaged his attention on Julia, who still has a wandering eye.

The host of the talk show put Julia and Sheidan on the spot — requesting a live performance on air. They pull something together quickly and perform “The Bones” by Maren Morris and Hozier. The stage presence was magical in the fluidity of the song that was accompanied by lots of eye contact and smiles between the two.

After the date, Julia blindsides Sheridan by expressing she still wants to explore a connection with Brandon. Unfortunately, nice guys finish last on Listen To Your Heart. Hot take: Sheridan is way too good for her anyway.

Savannah and Brandon jazz it up

Four date cards in one week? Yep. Savannah and Brandon go on the last date of the week, and Mel is hurt. She storms off and realizes her feelings run deeper than she thought.

The couple cozies up in a dim jazz club and express their interest in each other. But we all know where this is leading: another performance. Duh! The couple pick a song with a ’60s swing vibe and harmonize eloquently together. Their fingers intertwine as they sing away to “Fever” by Elvis Presley.

“Singing with Savannah is magical… there was some electricity that wasn’t there before,” Brandon states with blushed cheeks. The rest of the date was spent kissing outside of the club, before the show quickly cut to the Rose Ceremony cocktail party.

In the end, Mel, Cheyenne and Mariana get the chopping block.

The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
