Twitter Reactions: Disney+ to get a ‘Percy Jackson’ series adaptation

 A new Percy Jackson series is currently being developed for Disney+.

The author of the Percy Jackson book series, Rick Riordan, took to Twitter to make the announcement through a video with his wife.

Following the video announcement, Riordan posted a statement that said, “We can’t say much more at this stage but we are very excited about the idea of a live-action series of the highest quality, following the story line of the original Percy Jackson five-book series, starting with The Lightning Thief in season one. Rest assured that Becky & I will be involved in person in every aspect of the show.”

Audiences are excited of the prospect of a redemption shot at a live action adaptation of the books after the unfulfilled film adaptation from 20th Century Fox, which included the 2010 Lightning Thief and the 2013 Sea of Monsters, both starring Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson.
