David Blaine flies over 24,000 feet using helium balloons; Athens county is now classified as a level 2 for coronavirus

Today is Friday, September 4, 2020. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

David Blaine has done the impossible yet again. The illusionist and endurance performer was almost 25,000 feet high over a desert in Arizona using only helium balloons.

Blaine’s stunt, titled “Ascension,” was his first considerable one in over 8 years. There were 52 helium-filled balloons used to get him roughly 4.7 miles off of the ground.

This event, which was live-streamed on Youtube, lasted about 3 hours, with Blaine being in the air for just under an hour.
