Athens County has reported 1,795 coronavirus cases, 347 of which are currently active.
In Athens County, 75% of cases are from people younger than 30. At the state level, this number is at about 32%.
There have also been 69 total hospitalizations in the county, as well as four deaths.
Ohio University has tested 1,358 students on the Athens campus through its symptomatic testing procedures as of Nov. 20. Of those tested, 662 have been positive. Another 196 tests have been administered to OU employees, 22 being positive.
Through the asymptomatic testing, 8,725 students and employees have been tested as of Nov. 18, and 380 have tested positive. That yields a positivity rate of about 2.3%.
