EA Sports is rebooting its college football series; The North End has opened

Today is Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021. Here’s what you need to know:

Good morning,

EA Sports announced the news all college football fans have been waiting for Tuesday morning. The company teased the upcoming reboot of its NCAA Football franchise by tweeting, “For those who never stopped believing … #EASPORTSCollegeFootball.” After seven years, the popular game is returning.

While most fans are excited, the reboot won’t come until 2022 at the earliest. The game will be branded as “EA Sports College Football” and produced only for next generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

The series previously came to a halt after EA Sports settled a lawsuit seeking compensation for student-athletes. No date has been set for the game’s return.
