Hockey: Ohio prepares for series on the road against Lindenwood

Ohio finally snapped its losing streak. Despite suffering its fifth-straight loss last Friday, it pulled off an upset win against Iowa State on Saturday to end its previous road trip on a high note.

But Ohio’s schedule isn’t getting any easier. It’s in a stretch of series against Central States Collegiate Hockey League opponents, and its upcoming series against Lindenwood may send Ohio back to square one.

Ohio will play back-to-back series against Lindenwood, but it will have to travel for the first meeting between the two teams this season. The Bobcats must be able to build off of their performance against Iowa State and minimize mistakes in order to find success against the Lions.

Ohio vs. Lindenwood History

Ohio and Lindenwood are both in the CSCHL, so it’s the norm for the two to play each other multiple times each season. The Bobcats faced the Lions four times in the 2020-21 regular season, but they only managed to win once. They shut out the Lions 3-0 at Bird Arena on March 12, 2021, but the Lions took the second game in the series.
