Ohio gaurd Erica Johnson (4) attempts to pass the ball to Ohio forward Gabby Burris (41) during the Bobcats' game against Toledo on Feb. 16, 2022, in The Convo. The Bobcats lost 73-76 to the Rockets.

Women's Basketball: A second glance at Bowling Green

With just six games to go in the regular season, Ohio is currently on the outside looking in at the Mid-American Conference Tournament.

Fortunately for the Bobcats, five of those six games are against teams that they are directly competing with for the final spots, beginning with a rematch against Bowling Green on Saturday.

If the Bobcats come away victorious, they will jump over the Falcons and into the top eight of the MAC standings.

Bowling Green since Game 1

Since its loss to Ohio on Jan. 22, Bowling Green is 5-4 in the MAC and has not had a streak of either wins or losses longer than two games.

The Falcons are, along with the Bobcats, looking for a chance to clinch one of the remaining spots in the MAC Tournament.

Player to Watch

Sharps – Sharps is the Falcons’ best 3-point shooter, knocking down 46% of her attempts. Given the issues that the Bobcats have had recently defending excellent 3-point shooters, notably Western Michigan’s Lauren Ross and Toledo’s Sophia Wiard, Sharps will likely have plenty of opportunities to score Saturday.
