“My favorite snow day activity is staying in and watching a movie or binging television,” Emma Snyder-Lovera, a senior studying media arts production and journalism, said. “Many college students do not have much free time, so it is good to take these opportunities to relax and turn your brain off for a few hours. There are so many good movies and shows to catch up on this winter.”
“I love sledding and playing with my dog,” Caitlyn Vance, a sophomore studying journalism, said. “My house is on a hill, and my dog is a husky, so my brother and I play with her and sled. It is always fun.”
“One of my favorite snow day activities is doing my nails,” Gina Napoli, a junior studying journalism, said. “My roommate has a gel nail kit set, so I love to sit in my bed, put on a good movie and paint my nails.”
“I really love curling up with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate,” Maria Saunders, a freshman studying journalism, said. “I feel like I do not get a lot of time to read during the week with all my assignments, so I try to take advantage of the time off to do more enjoyable things than classwork.”
“I love winter in general, so I do a lot of snow activities,” Ethan Herx, a junior studying photojournalism, said. “My two favorite activities that come to mind are snowshoeing and skiing. Both activities allow me to get outside and enjoy the cold weather, but I can snowshoe in a lot more places than I can ski, even though you really need certain conditions to go snowshoeing.”
“My favorite snow day activity is grabbing coffee and spending time with friends inside,” Liv Jacobs, a freshman studying journalism, said. “I love staying in and enjoying the day off in the warmth.”
