Entertainment Look-A-Head: BTS Comeback, local festivals

Tuesday, March 17 

The 2026 Global Arts Festival kicks off. In the evening, there is an international fashion show. The show, called “MTINDO: Runway of Colors, Cultures and Creativity,” takes place from 7:30-9 p.m. in Baker Theater.

Admission: Free 

As another installment to the “Enter the Kingdom” series, the Athena is showing Stephen King’s “Misery” at 7 p.m. The film stars Kathy Bates and James Caan in a chilling tale directed by Rob Reiner. 

Admission: $8

Wednesday, March 18

Season 4, Episodes 1-3 of  “Invincible” hits Amazon Prime at 3 a.m. EST. The episodes mark the start of a highly anticipated new season. The next 5 episodes will be released weekly until April 22.

Thursday, March 19 

“Dhurandhar The Revenge” is set for its theatrical release. The film is a sequel to “Dhurandhar,” which came out in December 2025.   

The 14th World Music and Dance Concert takes place at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The show features performances by students and faculty and represents cultures from around the world.

Admission: Free with Student ID or $15

Friday, March 20

“Project Hail Mary,” starring Ryan Gosling, is set for its theatrical release. The sci-fi film is playing at The Athena. 

Admission: $6.50

“ARIRING” by BTS is set to release at midnight. The album marks the band's comeback after nearly four years following the members’ completion of South Korea’s mandatory military service. The album is 14 tracks long. 

Saturday, March 21  

Accompanying “ARIRING,” “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRING,” is a live event premiering on Netflix at 8 p.m. EST. The event celebrates the reunion for BTS and acts as a teaser for the group’s upcoming world tour.  

Sunday, March 22 

The Athens Jazz Festival is holing a concert at 2 p.m. as part of the event. The concert features the Ohio University Jazz Ensemble II and Ohio University Jazz Combos.
