Benson Boone’s American Heart World Tour started in August 2025 and ended in November of the same year. After singing on miscellaneous stages, the artist announced the Wanted Man tour to start in July, less than a year after his previous one.
This tour will kick off in Pittsburgh July 7. Although his previous run went international, this tour includes U.S. arenas for the summer of 2026 and includes 32 dates. The poster includes the words “Backflips & Magic included,” to set some high expectations to his fans.
The setlist is not set to include any new music, but it will span outside of his newest album. "I Wanna Be The One You Call” is the first song in the concert. This is from his American Heart album, as are the first four on the setlist. Other songs will come from his single discography and others from his first album, "Fireworks and Rollerblades."
The cover of his tour displays Boone shirtless with a jacket, showing off his muscles. While this has been a big part of his promotion, the artist has spoken about his thoughts on this.
“I definitely remember there was a time where I would take my shirt off because I didn’t know what else to do,” Boone told Rolling Stone. “After doing a lot of shoes, you start to pick up on what people like and don’t like, what girls like and don’t like. There is an art to making anybody go crazy.”
It is clear from his promotions and outfits that the artist has recognized what people think of him, and he leans into it at times. Boone continued to talk about his thoughts on the subject.
“Dude, it affects me so much,” Boone said. “Obviously, like, I enjoy working out and I want to keep my physical shape because I need to. But I can’t be the sex icon of the century, just because that’s not who I am.”
Other people have accused Benson Boone of queerbaiting. This is a marketing strategy used by celebrities in the media who are said to use queer aesthetics in order to draw in the LGBTQIA+ community. In Boone’s case, a straight man posts to get the attention of gay men and has them like his Instagram posts.
An example of this is when Boone posted a picture of himself shirtless with a sleep mask on his forehead. He has jewelry on and includes the words “Goodnight cuties.” People wonder if this was an attempt to get more attention, or if the artist is just attractive and gay men are attracted to him.
The artist’s social life has been around the internet as well. Last year, Benson Boone was dating a social media influencer, Maggie Thurmon. In September, rumors of their breakup started to circulate on the internet. In a concert, Boone mentioned the fact that sometimes people leave your life, implying that the two had split.
TMZ reported that the couple had split, but neither of them said anything publicly until a month later.
Referenced in an article from The News, Thurmon, in a since-deleted TikTok video, lip-synced to an audio from “The Office” about the character Ryan cheating on Kelly, another lead in the show. This included comments from fans condemning the possible cheating of Boone.
"Bro, if Benson cheated, I will turn this car right around,” a fan reportedly commented.
Thurmon replied to the comment: “Put your blinker on, babe.”
This reply set the internet on fire, with everyone assuming that Boone cheated on Thurmon. This split and allegations happened in the backend of his tour, likely stirring up audiences. The singer appeared unaffected in concert, and there were no major incidents that surfaced on the internet.
While Boone has been through some internet scuffles and a tour less than a year ago, he is ready to take on another challenge. Tickets have been on sale for less than a month, and fans are buying them, as the tour was scheduled due to high demand.
Hopefully, this tour involves fewer breakups than last year and that the artist can recycle his songs uniquely.
