After an abysmal regular season, the Buckeyes are playing their best basketball at the right time.  They move onto the sectional final today against Meigs for the right to go to the Convo.

After the 58-41 win over Federal Hocking, Coach Jay Kline noted the significance for his team and the TVC-Ohio.

“It is good for the league to get a sectional championship, and a qualifier for districts,” Kline said. “I am looking forward to it.”

In the way will be Meigs, which the Buckeyes have played twice previously, both losses. Kline says he thinks he has good game plan to counter the Marauders’ strengths.

“We are going to increase the pace of the game, run up and down the court–to take the physicality out of the game,” Kline said ” We are going to make it a 94- foot game.”

Daniel Kline produced a big game against the Lancers, scoring a season-high 28.

“He got hot early, and it provided a lift for us,” Kline said.

The Buckeyes will play Meigs today at 3 p.m. at Athens H.S
