Freshman T.J. Hall started in place of D.J. Cooper last night in Ohio’s 70-60 win against Bowling Green. Coach John Groce said after the game that Cooper sat because of a violation of team rules.

Cooper finished with nine points and four assists on a season-low three shots. Groce said earlier in the week that Cooper is still not 100 percent after injuring his ankle against Toledo on Feb. 9.

The reigning Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year came off the bench in Ohio’s next two games after injuring the ankle. He started Saturday against Winthrop for the first time since the injury.
