Ohio defeated Kent State 5-2 Friday evening to advance to the second round of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League Playoffs.
11 different players recorded a point for the Bobcats in the win.
Billy Hemann, Alex DiMassa and Jake Holzemer each had a goal and an assist. Steve Osacky and Jeremy Browning added the other two goals.
Goaltender Blake MacNicol made 26 saves in the win.
Ohio will face Iowa State in the second round of play. The Cyclones defeated Indiana by the same score of 5-2 to advance.
The Bobcats are 2-0 against Iowa State this season. Ohio outscored the Cyclones 9-2 in a two-game series at the end of October.
