Q: What actor would play you in a movie?

A: Will Smith. He’s in a lot of good action movies. I kinda wish my life was that entertaining.

Q: It doesn’t matter that he’s black?

A: No, we’ve all got a little black in us (laughs).

Q: You’re from Chicago. What’s your favorite pro sports team there?

A: I’d say the Chicago Cubs, and then Blackhawks, and Bears.

Q: Were you at the Blackhawks championship parade last summer?

A: No, but I saw the winning game when we won the championship, so that was pretty cool.

Q: In general, what’s the best part about wrestling?

A: In high school it was more for fun. Now it seems a little bit more like a job. But it’s all worth it when you get your hand raised. It’s probably what it all comes down to, it’s all worth it. And qualifying for Nationals would make it all worth it too.

Q: And the worst part of wrestling?

A: The day or two before your weigh-ins, and you’re down to weight, sucked out, and you gotta go hard. So that’s the worst.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do besides wrestling?

A: I did a lot of disk golfing over the summer. Anything outside. Swimming, biking, anything outside. I like to go to a lot of movies.

Q: So at OU and Athens, do you prefer spring with all the fests or fall with Halloween?

A: Spring’s awesome because of all the fests and everything, seeing all those people. So I’d say spring. It’s also great, because from winter, nobody’s outside, then all of a sudden spring hits and it gets warm and all the girls are laying out everywhere. So all of a sudden one day it gets warm and everybody’s out. That’s pretty cool.
