     When walking into the aquatic center, fans and swimmers alike couldn’t help but notice a giant 4-foot tall photo cutout of Ohio coach Greg Werner’s head.

     Heather McKenzie, an Ohio alumna and previous member of Ohio’s swimming and diving team, was spotted waving the face as Ohio was announced the winner of the Mid-American Conference swimming and diving Championships.

     "One of the parents made it and brought it in, so we’ve had it the whole meet,” McKenzie said.

     Fans and swimmers seemed to love the face as chants of “WER-NER” broke out and the face was waved as Werner was announced MAC swimming coach of the year.

     “I know the swimmers love it. We all love Greg so we put together a big sign to show it,” McKenzie said.

     Werner hopes his giant face had a positive result on the swimmers.

     “Some of them have commented on it I hope it’s helped some. Whether it has made them laugh or made them angry I’m not sure, but hopefully it’s helped them some,” Werner said.
