Ohio women's golf has been up and down this season. Recently Ohio won a match play event against Bowling Green and the Bobcats are looking to carry the success for that win into the next few events.

"Overall I think the team's been improving all year over the even't we've had in the past years so I'm looking for some lower scores this year," said Coach Kelly Ovington.

The short game has been a point of difficulty all season for Ohio especially in short iron play.

"I think one thing we could probably work on is the short game," said Ovington. "We worked on it a lot when we were down south the past couple weeks but I think that's probably something you can improve on to get that feel and touch around the green."

After this weekend's Lady Colonel Classic, the Bobcats only have one more event before the MAC Tournament. Ohio will take on the field in the Falcon Invitational next weekend starting Saturday. The MAC tourney begins the following Friday and will conclude on Sunday.

The Bobcats finished T-4th in the fall preview of the MAC Tourney, which coincidently, has been their highest finish all season in the stroke play format.
