Ohio finished up regular season play over the weekend finishing seventh in the Falcon Invitational. Play was halted and the Sunday round was cancelled due to severe winds.

Ohio Coach Kelly Ovington talked with me afterward about the weekend and what they learned going into the MAC Tournament, which begins on Friday.

On Jordan Fesh's fifth-place finish in the event:

"I thought she really stepped, she's had a rough spring as far as how she was been playing. I'm hoping she is finding a groove, she looked very confident out there and she's such a steady player. I wouldn't say emotionless but just a steady performance on the course."

On performance of MAC teams in attendance of Falcon Invitational:

"I think the level of MAC play, all the teams in our conference are really stepping up. Every team is coming in with some good scores and we're seeing a little more consistancy now."

On New found consistancy in the MAC:

"In the past you might have one team with a good score and one that would not be as good but now Northern Illinois, BG, us, were all starting to get some better scores in there more consistantly."

First round action of the MAC Tournament begins on Friday at Longaberger Golf Course in Nashport, Ohio and continues play until the end of the final round on Sunday.
