Ohio defeated Central Michigan 6-5 on Saturday to tie series at one game a piece. 

After winning 9-3 on Friday, the Chippewas took an early 1-0 lead on Saturday. 

But the Bobcats immediately responded with a run of their own in the bottom half of the first. Ethan Newton led off the inning with a double and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of designated hitter Seth Streich. 

Central Michigan again took the lead in the top-half of the second when a sacrifice bunt attempt led to a wild throw to first from pitcher Brent Choban. 

The Bobcats tied the game in similar fashion. After consecutive base hits to lead off the second inning, Adam Gecewich's bunt attempt led to a throwing error and another Ohio run. 

The Bobcats would score twice more to hold a 4-2 lead after three innings.  

The Chippewas pulled within one run on an RBI double in the top of the sixth, but the Bobcats added to their lead after a wild pitch scored Dan Ward in the bottom of the sixth. Ward led off the inning with a double. 

An RBI single off the bat of Garrett Black scored Tyler Emody from second and extended Ohio's lead to 6-3. 

The Chippewas again pulled within one run with two runs in the seventh, but they would come no closer. 

For the second straight day, both teams were plagued by errors. The Chippewas committed four errors, the Bobcats committed one.

Central Michigan outhit Ohio 10-9.
