After three innings, Ohio and Kent State are tied at 1. 

Kent State began the scoring in the first inning with a walk that eventually scored on a single. 

The Bobcats scored in similar fashion in the third. With two outs, Kory Burkhart walked, then advanced to second on a passed ball. A hit by Barnes brought Burkhart in from second to tie the score.

After three, Ohio has outhit the Golden Flashes 3-2. 

Update:

After six innings, Kent State leads Ohio 6-1. 

The Golden Flashes pushed a run across in the fifth and then four more in the sixth. 

Three of those runs scored on a two-out double off the bat of Jimmy Rider. 

Ohio pitchers walked three batters in the inning. 

After six, Kent State is outhitting Ohio 9-7. 

Update:

Kent State has defeated the Bobcats 9-1 and swept the three-game series. 

A two-out, two-run double in the eighth inning extended Kent State's lead to 8-1.

A hit-batsman, an error and a walk followed by a sacrifice fly led to an unearned Kent State run in the ninth making the score 9-1.

Kent State only outhit the Bobcats 10-7, but walks and errors hurt Ohio. 

Matt Robin pitched 5 2/3 innings, gave up eight hits and five runs. He was saddled with the loss.
