After three innings, Ohio and Kent State are tied at zero.

The Bobcats' best chance came in the third inning when center fielder Ethan Newton led off the inning with a single and eventually moved to third on an error. But a strike 'em out, throw 'em out ended the Ohio threat.

Kent State threatened in the first inning but the third out of the inning was recorded in a rundown between third and home plate.

Both teams recorded four hits through three innings.

Update:

After six innings, Kent State leads Ohio 1-0.

The Golden Flashes' run came with two outs in the fifth inning on a bases-loaded error by Ohio third baseman Dan Ward.

Ward muffed a softly-hit ground ball and allowed the run to score.
