Ohio's soccer team will add eight players to a seasoned roster this fall.

Coach Stacy Strauss announced the new recruits Monday. The group becomes the second largest class on the team behind the 10 seniors who will play their last season next year.

"The group is one of the best in the program's history in terms of their academic success and intangibles," Strauss said in a statement. "They are a dedicated, focused and determined lot who will adjust quickly, I believe, to the competitive environment that the upperclassmen have established."

The players range in height from 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-10. The class comprises two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one midfielder/defender and a goalkeeper.

Six of the eight recruits hail from Ohio. Goalkeeper Nicole Amari is from Illinois, and midfielder Erin Feeney is from Massachusetts.

Ohio will play two more scrimmages this spring. The regular season begins in August.
