On where the team struggled: "We just didn’t stay consistent enough the whole season. We just weren’t quite god enough with our pitching, especially with our relievers. We weren’t quite good enough defensively and we didn’t hit the ball as well as we wanted to. We were just not quite there in all categories."

On the pitching: "I thought our starting pitching did a real good job for us, they kept us in games. This was the second year in a row that one of our starters went down with injury. That really hurt us. But even though our starters always didn’t get a lot of wins, they threw well and gave us a chance."

Looking forward to 2012: "We will need to improve in all areas like we did at the end of the year. We think we’ve got some guys coming in that will help offensively and with our pitching.

"It took a little while for the young guys to make adjustments this year. They will have to make adjustments to be better next year. We’ve got some real good infielders coming in that we’re happy about. We’ve got an outstanding outfielder coming in along with a couple 90-mile-per-hour throwers. We’ll be alright next year."
