This is the rubber match between Ohio and Miami. Ohio needs a win today along with two Bowling Green loses in order to qualify for the Mid-American Conference tournament.

Top of 1: Jason Moulton on the mound for Ohio, he hits the first batter he faces. A fielding error by Ward allows Miami's second batter to reach and a wild pitch advances the runners. Now second and third with no outs. Not a great start for Ohio.

Miami's Kyle Weldon just drilled a home run over the right-field fence, just like that it's 3-0 RedHawks. Moulton seems to be having trouble locating his pitches early on.

Another base hit for Miami, four straight batters have now reached.

Moulton finally gets out of the inning with a strikeout.

Bottom 1: Newton leads off with a base hit to left. He has been great in the leadoff spot for the Bobcats all year.

After Newton's hit, the Bobcats go quietly in the first, trail 3-0.

Top 2: After two consecutive outs, Miami bangs two singles, but Moulton gets a groundout to get out of the inning.

Bottom 2: Bobcats go 1-2-3 in the second.

Top 3: Moulton gets his first 1-2-3 inning. Ohio's offense needs to get something going.

Bottom 3: Newton is the only Bobcat producing so far. With two outs, he drills a double to deep right field. Let's see if Gecewich can get him in.

A single up the middle scores Newton and the Bobcats are on the board. Great job of clutch hitting by Gecewich in his final game at Bob Wren Stadium.

Barnes singles to right, Gecewich advances to third on a field error by the right fielder. Seth Streich now batting. - Streich pops out to end the inning. It's 3-1 Miami after three.

Top 4: A fielding error by shortstop Wes O'Neill allowed another Miami runner to reach. Fielding errors on ground balls have hurt Ohio all season. Two stolen bases later, Miami has a runner on third. Moulton desperately needs an out here. And he gets it with a strikeout.

Bottom 4: Jensen Painter doubles down the left-field line to leadoff the fourth. Good start, Emody must get him over.

Emody pops out to shallow center  and wastes the at-bat. With so much riding on this game, that is a situation where he must at least advance the runner. Ward now at the plate.

Ward doubles to left to score Painter. Ohio within a run. Huge at bat from the freshman.

Buffalo gets a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 12th to beat BG and keep Ohio's postseason hopes alive.

Miami's center fielder lost the ball in the sun as Wes O'Neill drives in the tying run with a double. Miami will change pitchers.

Red-hot Ethan Newton now at the plate. Newton draws a walk. Gecewich came up with a runner on second and two outs in the third and delivered. Can he do the same in the fourth? Gecewich strikes out looking.

Top 5: After recording the first out, Moulton hits his second batter of the day. Moulton forces a popout to end the inning.

Bottom 5: Barnes rips a single back up the middle to leadoff the inning. Kory Burkhart will pinch-hit for Streich, he lays down a bunt to advance Barnes.

Ohio has now scored in three consecutive innings.

Top 6: Moulton continues to pitch. Carbone has made it known that he has little trust in his bullpen and will keep his starters in as long as possible.

After a base hit, Ohio turns a double play to get out of the inning.

Bottom 6: Trace Voshell draws a walk to leadoff the inning. Garrett Black will pinch-hit for O'Neill. J.R. Reynolds in to run for Voshell. Carbone is making all kinds of changes.

Black lays down a bunt to advance Reynolds.

Game two between BG and Buffalo is underway.

Gecewich draws a five-pitch walk to bring Barnes to the plate with two runners on and two out. Barnes grounds out to end the inning.

Top 7: With Moulton still on the mound, Miami leads off the inning with a base hit.

A well-executed hit and run puts RedHawk runners at first and third with no outs. Moulton really needs to bear down here.

Miami unsuccessfully tries a safety squeeze as the runner is thrown out at the plate by Moulton. Now runners on the corners, one out.

A 5-4-3 double play gets Moulton out of the inning with no damage done. Ohio really dodged a bullet there.

Bottom 7: Burkhart draws a walk to leadoff the inning. He has now been to bat twice but has recorded no official at-bats. Miami will bring on a new pitcher.

Painter delivers a hit to put runners on first and second with no outs. Chandler Geller will hit for Emody.

Geller walks to load the bases for Ohio. Ward goes down swinging - those are the types of at-bats you will get from a freshman. Reynolds now at the plate.

Reynolds drills a hit in center field to give Ohio a two-run lead.

The Bobcats score twice more on a sac-fly and then a throwing error. Now 7-3.

Ethan Newton delivers another hit to drive in another run. 8-3 Ohio.

Gecewich walks to advance Newton into scoring position. Barnes at the plate.

Barnes pops out to end the inning. But Ohio leads 8-3 after seven.

Top 8: Tyler Stage on to pitch for Ohio, he allows the leadoff batter to reach.

Stage allows a two-run home run, Miami cuts the deficit to three.

Stage walks the next batter. This is why Carbone likes to stay with his starters.

With one out, Miami brings the tying run to the plate. Carbone will make a change and bring on Sean Kennedy to pitch.

This game is not going by quickly.

Miami now has the bases loaded with one out. Carbone will make another pitching change. Ryan Burgett now pitching.

Burgett is hit in the chest with the ball, but recovers and throws out the runner at the plate.

Miami gets a hit and pulls within two. Two outs in the inning, bases still loaded.

Burgett gets a ground out to end the inning.

Bottom 8: Painter and Backstrom hit back-to-back drives towards the fence but both get caught at the track. Bobcats go quietly in the eighth.

Top 9: Burgett gets a groundout to start the inning. The next batter doubles off the left-field wall to bring the tying run to the plate. A double pulls Miami within a run, winning run at the plate.

A base hit scores the tying run for Miami.

A double allows another Miami run. This just got ugly in a hurry. Matt Robin on to pitch.

Plain and simple, the bullpen blew it.

Ohio finally gets out of it, but the damage has been done. They will need at least a run in the ninth.

Bottom 9: Dan Ward leads off with a single to right. Reynolds moves him over with a bunt.

Black strike out. Newton is Ohio's last hope.

Newton continues to lead this team, a two-out single score the tying run. This game is going to extra innings.

Top 10: Shane Henkel on to pitch. Ethan Newton has been moved to shortstop.

After retiring the first two batters, Robin walks the next batter. Robin gets a deep fly out to end the inning.

Bottom 10:

The Bobcats lead off the inning with a hit.

Burkhart singles to give Ohio runners on first and second with no outs.

Miami makes a pitching change.

A wild pitch advances the runners to second and third with no outs. Miami will walk Painter.

Miami has brought in a fifth infielder.

Backstrom is hit by the pitch and Ohio wins 10-9 is crazy fashion.
