Ohio University is taking a hands on approach when it comes to students working with athletics. The department released its "learning laboratory" this afternoon, and it highlighted all the students that are helped by direct interaction with Ohio Athletics.

According to the release, more than 200 OU students, graduate and undergraduate, are currently working with Ohio Athletics to help them get the experience they need for when they leave college.

Programs range from journalism to sports administration to athletic training to marketing, with students such as RSVP vice presidential candidate Roger Jones participating in it.

Students have many opportunities such as announcing games, making videos of the game, creating posters for the teams, advertising for OU or even travelling with the teams.

Students can participate through internships, work-study, volunteering or even practicum.
